The Cast Experience

OVERVIEW

The Cast Experience is an exclusive week experience open only to the 2025-2026 KĀOS Cast and KĀOS Squad Finalist scholarship recipients. The Cast Experience is composed of the top dancers, hand-selected by the KĀOS Artists from each city during our 2025-2026 regional tour.

THE CAMPAIGN

The Campaign offers dancers a real-world industry experience with KĀOS Artists, giving them the chance to learn choreography and film a professional campaign video. Participants will experience every step of a real production, including working closely with choreographers, learning choreography, selecting wardrobe, being on set, and contributing to the overall execution of a campaign shoot. The cast of The Campaign will also bring their choreography to life on stage, performing live at THE ONE Nationals GALA.

THE GALA

All Cast will be performing in THE ONE Nationals GALA on June 20th. These routines will be choreographed by THE ONE Nationals artists and/or Special Guest Choreographers.

KĀOS SQUAD

All 2025-2026 KĀOS Squad Finalist scholarship recipients are invited to audition for the exclusive KĀOS Squad! The KĀOS Squad is composed of 10 dancers selected by the KĀOS Artists as assistants for our 2026-2027 tour season. Each KĀOS Squad Finalist will receive:

A lifetime KĀOS workshop scholarship.
FREE tuition to THE ONE Nationals 2026.
Paid opportunity to work with & assist the KĀOS Artists at three regional cities during the 2025-2026 season.
Participation in Squad Orientation in Los Angeles, Fall 2026.

SQUAD AUDITION PROCESS

The audition will take place during The Cast Experience week.
All Squad finalists will have to audition and freestyle during the Freestyle Battle to a song chosen by the DJ.
The SZN:6 Squad will be announced during The GALA.

The Cast must be in San Diego by 8:00 AM on Saturday, June 13, 2026, for Orientation.

The Cast will be performing in THE ONE Nationals GALA on June 20th. These routines will be choreographed by THE ONE Nationals artists and/or Special Guest Choreographers.

A rehearsal schedule for The Cast will be given out during the Orientation on June 13th. Costumes will also be distributed during the week, but each dancer will need to bring a few basic items:

Black and nude dance shorts
Black and nude bra/half top
Black leggings
Black dress pants
Black t-shirts
White t-shirts
Black tank tops
White tank tops
Black dress socks
Black belts
Knee pads

FINE PRINT

The Cast Experience is a separate competition and title from Elite Protégé, All Star and ONE of ONE. A dancer may compete and win all.
To participate in The Cast Experience, you must be registered for the entire THE ONE National’s Workshop.
Participation, etiquette, and attendance in workshop classes, K.O.R.classes, FOCUS classes and rehearsals will be monitored throughout the event. Points may be deducted at the discretion of the Event Directors.
The Cast is asked to provide a 2” x 2” headshot photo for the souvenir program. These photos must be uploaded during the online registration process on Dance360.com. Headshots are due Friday, May 23rd.
Observers are not permitted to observe The Squad audition. Registered Teachers and Studio Owners are permitted.
Registered Observers, Teachers and Studio Owners are not permitted during any Closed Rehearsal.
If attending THE ONE Nationals with their studio, a Cast member does not need to submit a separate Cast Experience registration. Studios can submit all their Cast Experience information online at the same time that they complete their studio's registration.
THE ONE Nationals will most likely sell out! Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
IIf you win The Squad title with your studio, you may not switch studios or compete as an independent dancer for one full year following the award. Doing so will result in the revocation of The Squad title and all associated tour privileges. KĀOS strongly believes that a dancer’s studio training should never be interrupted or replaced by conventions or national titles. The only exceptions to this policy are:(1)If the studio where the title was earned is no longer in business, or (2) If the dancer has relocated out of the region where the studio is located at the time the title was won. In either case, written consent from the original studio must be submitted to the KĀOS Director, confirming that the studio formally releases the title and scholarship due to one of the above conditions.
REMINDER: Everyone will need a ticket to THE ONE Nationals GALA. Cast Members performing in THE GALA will also need to purchase tickets if they would like to watch THE GALA from the audience any time before or after they are on stage.
2025 Radix National Elite Protégé title winners will be eligible to compete for the 2026 The ONE Nationals Cast Experience Squad title, provided the dancer attended a KĀOS Regional event during the 2025–2026 regional season and was recognized at the regional level during that same season as a Cast and KĀOS Squad Finalist.

CONFIRMATIONS

A registration is only confirmed once fully submitted via Dance360. Once submitted, a confirmation email will be sent via Dance360. If an email is not received, then the registration was not received. Registrations are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Approximately 10-14 days prior to the event, THE ONE Nationals will provide schedules and other important information regarding the event. For any questions, please contact [email protected].
